Coquet Trust have a full time opportunity for a Team Co-ordinator / Senior Support Worker to provide person centred support to adults with learning disabilities in their own home, and supervise support workers on shift. This role
We have a full time position covering two of our neighbouring locations in Newcastle. We are looking for a team co-ordinator to join the permanent team here, to build professional relationships with the people we support in order to deliver the highest quality care.
The role involves giving full support to 3 gentlemen who are very sociable, enjoys community trips.
As a team co-ordinator, you will report to a Support Manager, be the lead person on shift, co-ordinate rotas, carry out workplace observations, contribute to 1:1s and ensure the best possible care is provided to the people we support in their homes. This role is based at the location where we provide support.
Person Specification
We are looking for someone who has experience working with adults with learning disabilities and NVQ L3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent). You’ll have the ability to learn to use electronic systems to record care (training provided). Due to the requirements of the individual we support, you will need:
· Experience with epilepsy.
Hours
The full-time role is 37 hours per week (plus sleep ins which are paid additionally).
You would be scheduled to work 5 out of 7 days, including some over night and weekends.
Shifts include: 7.45am to 8.45pm (with sleep in attached to shift).
Pay
£11 per hour, plus extra for sleep ins. In addition, Coquet Trust offer staff the following benefits:
