Coquet Trust recently had the opportunity to share feedback with the Casey Commission on Social Care (caseycommission.co.uk).
This was a valuable chance to open discussions about the challenges currently facing the social care sector and, most importantly, how we can work together to create meaningful solutions.
Two representatives from the Commission visited Coquet Trust in October to speak directly with our Senior Leadership Team. They also spent time meeting with some of the people we support, hearing first-hand about their experiences and the issues that matter most to them.
This conversation is so important because social care plays a vital role in supporting people to live independent, fulfilling lives , yet it continues to face significant pressures. Staffing shortages, funding constraints, and increasing demand all affect the quality and consistency of support. By sharing our on-the-ground experiences, we can help ensure that national policy and decision making truly reflect the realities faced by people who draw on support and by the organisations that support them.
At Coquet Trust, we believe that positive change starts with collaboration and open dialogue. We are passionate about making sure the voices of the people we support are heard and represented in shaping the future of social care. We are proud to be part of this national conversation and remain committed to helping form the solutions our sector needs.
