In Memory of Supporting Bernadette O’Donnell

Bernadette O’Donnell is one of many people we supported who we strived to do our utmost best to enhance standards of life and fulfilling needs. Her niece, Ellen O’Donnell had reached contact with us to fundraise and run for us at the Great North Run in September in memory of her beloved aunt.

“My aunt, Bernadette, was born in Newcastle in 1957 and was severely affected by birth asphyxia. She spent almost 40 years at home in West Denton being cared for by family and then spent the remaining 24 years of her life in the Coquet Trust’s homes, where she was supported and lovingly cared for. The incredible care provided by the Coquet Trust enabled both Bernadette and my family to live life to the fullest.”

Alongside Ellen, her two cousins Daisy and Isla also generously volunteered their time to support us. Their collective fundraising efforts will greatly enhance our ability to provide assistance to many others, just like their beloved aunt.

We would like to give special thanks for Ellen, Daisy and Isla for running in memory for her their auntie Bernadette. Because of their hard work, we are able to not only keep her memory alive, but to help other people we support the way we supported Bernadette.
